The Longan is a sweet, juicy and translucent fruit enclosed in a thin tan shell, mimicking grape vine clusters.
Sometimes called the dragons eye the Longan is an Asian native fruit that is a close relative to the Lychee and the rambutan.
How to eat: Longan is ready once it’s been picked from the vine, so upon arrival you’re able to enjoy the fruit right away or refrigerate it to preserve the fruit. To eat Longan you simply bite into the shell until you hear it “pop” and then peel it off revealing the fruit inside.
