Whether you're a longtime mamey lover or trying them for the first time, this trio delivers an unforgettable tasting experience that showcases why mamey is one of the world's most prized tropical fruits.
Tip:
- Lightly scratch the brown skin with your fingernail. If the flesh underneath is salmon, orange, or reddish-orange, it’s mature and will ripen well. If it’s green, it needs more time.
- Mamey will need to ripen at room temperature of around 70°F or more after delivery.
- The fruit will be soft all over. Once soft, cut in half and scoop out seed(s). You can eat Mamey with a spoon straight out the fruit or freeze to make milkshakes or smoothies.
